David Riding

David Riding is an illustrator, painter and sculptor.

He worked for many years in advertising agencies and design studios and finally became a freelance illustrator in Cape Town.

Born in a remote part of Zimbabwe, David's work is reflective of his interaction with the natural world that surrounded him during his childhood.

Styled images form a large part of his iconography.

His subjects are characteristically expressive, sometimes even anthropomorphic, and feature a strong element of humour.

The characters are endearing, even mischievous. His illustrative style is a result of his formal training in Graphic Design.
