David kuijers was born in 1962 near johannesburg, south africa of dutch immigrant parents.
Completed his schooling at the pretoria school of art, ballet and music with a distinction in graphics and the best painter award for 1980.
After a brief period as a signwriter he enrolled at the cape technikon for a graphic design diploma, majoring in illustration, received the merit award for 1989 on graduating.
Freelanced as a designer/ illustrator.
Full time artist since 1999.
Notable commissions include: the president hotel, villa via, radisson hotel, tiger brand foods, constantiaberg mediclinic and langeberg.
David was featured in the november 2001 garden and home and in more recent issues of habitat.
In 2004 he worked with de montford fine art in britain where he was included in their ‘ultimate collection series.
