Victor Pasmore

Victor Pasmore was perhaps the most influential abstract artist in Britain and became one of the leading abstract painters of our times.

He was previously a representational painter of landscapes, still life and figures.

His later paintings and prints were imbued with vivid Mediterranean colour and characterized by freer metamorphic forms.

His work can be found  in many public collections around the world – including Tate Britain, Royal Academy of Arts London, Museum of Modern Art New York, Yale Centre for British Art and numerous galleries and private collections throughout the world.
